Cherry MX Banana Switches
Initially announced on April 1st of 2018, via their various social media platforms, Cherry officially debuted their first yellow colored switch to be added to the classic Cherry lineup. (While there has been much speculation in the past in regards to legitimate Cherry MX Yellow switches having been found in various Vintage boards, proof regarding these claims have yet to have been found.) As can be seen to the promotional image to the left, these switches featured two different typing angles, at 12.5 and 30 degrees, to help supplement more ergonomically designed boards. It is uncertain whether the name came as a result of the color and shape of these stems, or it was a simultaneous design idea.
What is certain, though, is that these switches were never actually made.
